I can’t say what happened or to whom it happened but it changed the entire feel of the book. His father beats him up and then he has a moment with the police unrelated and after he feels powerful, because he could have told on his dad, but he didn’t, how is this supposed to be positive and a character I can stand behind.

Oh Simon, another part of the book summer I loved with his bold and artistic personality. She started noticing that her cousins emails, text and phone calls seemed shorter as time went on until they were pretty much non existant.

The people who matter are the ones that love the real you. The ocean has always welcomed her with open arms and she finds her place in the water and the beach, gazing as far as she can see. I wanted a book that kept me reading at school, under the table. Corinne, her cousin, changed drastically since Mia last saw her. It reminds you that it doesn’t matter what other people say Don’t let the title fool you. Although having misunderstood the storyline I kept expecting something that wasn’t going to happen.

This book did that and that I ended up enjoying it SO much. I thought Mia was supposed to be larger? This is not just any summer book, it reaches a whole new level. Most notably, Corinne has turned into some kind of Cosmopolitan Magazine inspired social zombie, spouting nauseating slang, smoking cigarettes, screaming at her mom, and doing all the things hoeells might quickly jot down on a piece of paper if someone asked you to list traits of an obnoxious and snobby teenager.
