I recommend My Journey of A. Abdul Kalam through this book. No trivia or quizzes yet.

I read this book in my teens and found this to be inspiring. I gave up at the last or the second chapter from the last. Sir Kalam is truly an eloquent poet himself. Never deals with any conflicts between his spirituality and the military nature of his work, nor the conflict of being a Muslim in a Hindu dominated country. The scientific terminologies spanning some pages are a little off putting but even among these are hidden his words of wisdom.

I wish it was little less technical It definitely throws a light on the life of Dr. However, the book accounts the days he’d lived till late 90s that is upto his days in Missile Development programmes. I had hoped to know a lot more about Dr. So, Agnichiakukal read it. I too loved to read about his life agnifhirakukal India’s passion for space and missile independence. I myself am a student of science, I have studied and loved science since my infancy but this book didn’t capture my attention.

The Vicariously written autobiography didn’t seem to find the light completely as the writer Arun Tiwari was involved full time in penning down the experiences of Dr.

An inspiration for a nation’s people constantly bogged down by socio-economic issues! Kalam maintains a spiritual base as he heads the mainly military and nationalistic projects therein.

But you feel proud after knowing how India transformed from a nation known for its reverse engineering and borrowed technology to become a super power in Missile technology debatable??? He talks very little about his personal life, except occasionally when he had to rush home for some emergency or an important function.

This is a book about Science, Space and Missile Technology. Refresh and try again. Though it becomes a little technical in the end, still his thoughts on team work, innovation, thinking out of the box, ac A very inspirational reading.

Abdul Kalam is a source of infinite pride and inspiration for every aspiring youths and in particularyoung scientists. It is a good book but a little boring one, no offense to the author.

I tried, tried and tried but I just couldn’t finish this book. But I am not from the said fields and people like me, I think will feel out of place for most part of the book. How the name “wings of fire” justify the autobiography of A. However, he couldn’t be blamed as did his best as he could. Its the agnichirakkkal of the former President of India, the most loving President of …more Yes.

Its the story of the former President of India, the most loving President of India. Enter the code in the box below. A really motivative book which gives us a glimpse of the two sides of a bright golden coin, one is Dr. You may give them your love but not your thoughts.

And the terms that I am referring to are, after introduction, used repeatedly through out the rest of the book. This book is a biography of this great personality Kalam Sir, that’s why I guess it is rendered as so revered but if you look at it from literary point of view it is tedious and monotonous monotonous in the sense that all it talks about is rocket science, I mean I get it, this man’s life revolves around rocketry but this book is supposed to be biog I tried, tried and tried but I just couldn’t finish this book.

The book is truly inspirational. He was responsible for the development of India’s first satellite launch vehicle, the SLV-3 He is popularly known as the Missile Man of India for his work on development of ballistic missile and space rocket technology. This autobiographical account gets a bit technical due to in-depth explanation of rocketry, miss This book is a must read for every Indian to know one of the greatest men of our country. Not just mine, but a generation as a whole.
